Art in the Park turns 50!

Appleton Art Center's Art in the Park, an outdoor party celebrating the visual arts, is 50 years old! The AAC also invites people indoors to the art center’s renovated galleries and two new nature-related exhibits.

During the recent renovation of AAC, 3 locust trees were removed from the property. They are now transformed into works of art by 3 local artists including SDA member Sherry Lawson Gates. Sherry specializes in free-motion machine embroidery and adorned an 8-foot-long branch with fabric signs of the seasons.
